I have taught and guided several hundred clients since 2000 when I first began guiding fly anglers here on the Kennebec River Watershed in Maine. I have a passion for understanding the changes in the river, the insect life, and how the fish change their behavior that brings me to the river almost every day and then to the tying vise. While on the river, sometimes I never make a cast. Instead, I watch, observe, inspect, photograph. I feel that the quality of my day on the river, as ours should be, is not always measured by the number of fish caught.

My daughter Abby, and I were featured in a four-page pictorial in the September/October issue of Gray's Sporting Journal. (An excerpt is pictured below)

I am a former Director for Kennebec Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited. I have taught many casting and fly tying lessons to folks of all ages.

Guiding fly anglers is work that I enjoy. It places me in nature's waters and let's me talk about fly fishing.
