My favorite time to fish the East Outlet is October when the water is a cold 58-degrees and the fish are aggressive, fat and strong. I had the good fortune to be fishing a day with John P. and on another day with Fred Schmidt. John and Fred are fine anglers and fly tiers.

Salmon in the 4 pound range don't come to the net every day here, but once in awhile we're lucky.

John P. has the 'right stuff' with his tiny #22 Olive nymphs. He's also a fine gourmet cook so when he serves up either flies or food he's a winner.
